Cantrip. Bex knows one cantrip of her choice from the wizard spell list. Intelligence is her spellcasting ability for it. (Minor Illusion)
Cunning Action. Bex’s quick thinking and agility allow her to move and act quickly. She can take a bonus action on each of her turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
Dungeon Delver. Bex has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to detect the presence of secret doors. She has advantage on saving throws made to avoid or resist traps. She can search for traps while traveling at a normal pace, instead of only at a slow pace.
False Identity. Bex has created second identities that include documentation, established acquaintances, and disguises that allow her to assume those personas. Additionally, she can forge documents including official papers and personal letters, as long as she has seen an example of the kind of document or the handwriting she is trying to copy.
Fast Hands. Bex can use the bonus action granted by her Cunning Action to make a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check, use her thieves’ tools to
disarm a trap or open a lock, or take the Use an Object action.
Fey Ancestry. Bex has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put her to sleep.
Second Story Work. Climbing does not cost Bex extra movement. In addition, when she makes a running jump, the distance she covers increases by a number of feet equal to her Dexterity modifier (4).
Sneak Attack. Bex knows how to strike subtly and exploit a foe’s distraction. Once per turn, she can deal an extra 10 (3d6) damage to one creature she hits with an attack if she has advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse or a ranged weapon. She doesn’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and she doesn’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Thieves’ Cant. During her rogue training Bex learned thieves’ cant, a secret mix of dialect, jargon, and code that allows her to hide messages in seemingly normal conversation. Only another creature that knows thieves’ cant understands such messages. It takes four times longer to convey such
a message than it does to speak the same idea plainly.
In addition, she understands a set of secret signs and symbols used to convey short, simple messages, such as whether an area is dangerous or the territory of a thieves’ guild, whether loot is nearby, or whether the people in an area are easy marks or will provide a safe house for thieves on the run.
Trance. Bex doesn’t need to sleep. Instead, she meditates deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, she can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, she gains the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Uncanny Dodge. When an attacker that Bex can see hits her with an attack, she can use her reaction to halve the attack’s damage against her.
Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) piercing damage.
Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6+4) piercing damage.
Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4+4) piercing damage.
I lie about almost everything, even when there’s no good reason to.
Sarcasm and insults are my weapons of choice.
I am a free spirit; don’t tell me what to do.
I must learn what happened to Mother.

In her natural form, Bex is typical in height, graceful and slender to the point of frailty, with chalk-white skin and long limbs. Her features are not as unpleasant or as alien as most changeling faces, which she attributes to her elven blood. Her large, featureless white eyes rarely blink, set in heavy, dark rings. She wears her fine pink-white hair long, and speaks with a slight Elven accent. Dreadful scars cover her left arm, from the hand to the elbow.
But Bex is seldom seen in her natural form. She wears a number of human and elven faces, like other people wear hats; currently, her favorite guise is “Rebexa Chandler.” This is a human woman, attractive in an unmemorable way, with short golden hair, deep blue eyes, an iron lip ring, and a husky voice, with a strong Cyran accent.
Bex is usually seen in well-worn black leather armor, with dark clothing beneath. A dagger made from a carver’s claw hangs at her hip. She never burdens herself with more than a shabby old bag and a leather pouch; her boots may be as old as she is, but they still hold together. She keeps a set of thieves’ tools lashed to her wrist for quick access.
Her most cherished possession is an old elven doll. She keeps it wrapped in a red velvet cloth in her bag, and only takes it out when she feels that it’s safe to do so.
